Comments on a government mission to the Medical Products Agency about homeopathic drugs

The Swedish Medical Products Agency has had a government mission to evaluate preconditions and consequences to assimilate homeopathic drugs, according to art. 16.2 in the directive 2001/83/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Community Code Relating to Medicinal Products for Human Use, in to Swedish law. The Swedish National Council on Medical Ethics (Smer) has in a statement of opinion discussed the concept of drugs, and believes that it should be reserved to drugs that have gone through the Medical Products Agency examination. The question about “knowledge and proven experience” is also important. It should be clear what “proven experience” is.
